Dr. Jessica is a family chiropractor from small-town BC. She is passionate about treating people of all ages and from all walks of life, and getting them back to doing what they love.

Dr. Jessica embraced life in Alberta during her undergraduate degree at University of Alberta’s Augustana Campus.  In addition to attaining a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, she learned first hand what it was like to work in the trades, visited her friends’ farms and rural homes, and spent her summers falling in love with the community of St. Albert. Her chiropractic education took her to Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Here, she gained an evidence-based education from leaders in chiropractic research.  She was also fortunate to be involved in a treatment outreach to underserved communities in the Dominican Republic.

Dr. Jessica is a mom to two beautiful children – a smart and funny toddler and a baby whose smile lights up the world. When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her kiddos. She has recently become very familiar with a number of the playgrounds St. Albert has to offer. She also enjoys watching how her kids learn, grow, and develop movement, and engaging with their natural curiosity about the world.

Before having her babies, Dr. Jessica could often be found taking an excessive number of continuing education courses to better learn how to assess and treat her patients (now she keeps it to a more reasonable amount of courses, according to her family). She also enjoyed reading about a variety of topics outside of her field, including such things as neuroplasticity, anthropology, genetics, and psychology, and can often be found listening to podcasts about everything from economics to history. She loves travel; whether it be sightseeing in Europe or hiking in our incredible Canadian Rockies, she enjoys seeing the beauty the world has to offer. Currently, when she’s not using her free time to take care of her kids and to try to get enough sleep, she can still occasionally be found playing board games with her friends or family.

Dr. Jessica is certified in Active Release Therapy and Medical Acupuncture, and has trained in Kinesiotaping, pediatric care, movement assessment and correction, and visceral and neural manipulation. She takes a comprehensive approach to treating her patients, as she recognizes that we are more than just the sum of our parts. She conducts a thorough functional assessment to determine where your pain is coming from. Her hands-on approach to treatment includes treatment of the muscles, nerves and ligaments in addition to traditional chiropractic adjustments. She likes to supplement her treatments with acupuncture, pain education, and exercises aimed at restoring lost function and preventing pain from returning. She also recognizes that sometimes more is needed, and loves to work together with other providers to manage all aspects of your wellbeing.
